Energy
Liability Insurance

We know the energy sector is facing huge challenges. But change also brings fresh opportunities. By providing energy companies with energy liability insurance coverage that evolves with them, it enables further exploration into traditional fuels while encouraging innovation in sustainable options.

We provide energy companies with liability coverage resulting from third party bodily injury, property damage or pollution liability. As the energy industry explores more sustainable options and continues to evolve, our cover evolves with you.

We protect the old and the new – from Onshore Oil, Gas and Petrochemicals industries to Power and Renewables – based primarily in North America, Europe and Australasia. Our technical approach to underwriting means we truly understand the risks you face and can provide cover tailored to the specific needs of your operation.

Intrinsic to our underwriting capabilities is an unrivalled claims experience which sits at the centre of our Insurance and Reinsurance expertise.

I head up Marine and Energy Liabilities. For Marine, we insure everything from shipowners and shipyards to maritime employees. On the energy side, we protect contractors and operators working on projects ranging from refineries to offshore energy construction. For leisure, I enjoy walks in Ashdown Forest with my son and miniature labradoodle. I play tennis, golf and enjoy family foreign holidays. I have supported Everton FC through thick and thin for over 45 years.

I underwrite within Marine & Energy, ensuring global commodities can safely travel the world, and homes and industry get the energy needed. We love looking at emerging risks and are excited to see where the energy transition takes us. I’m a nature-lover, particularly birds. I’ve visited the Amazon jungle, Central American cloud forests and Borneo wilds. A highlight was sighting the Three-wattled bellbird, vulnerable to extinction and one of the loudest birds on the planet.
