Guy Burrows

HEAD OF POLITICAL VIOLENCE AND TERRORISM

London, United Kingdom

e: [email protected]

As Head of Political Violence and Terrorism, I oversee the provision of standalone coverage against perils such as Terrorism, Riots, Coup d’Etat and War for assets ranging from football stadiums to supermarkets. We are unique in that our line of business can differ hugely year-on-year based on the changing geopolitical landscape, which keeps our jobs fresh and challenging. Outside of work, I am fortunate enough to be a Charlton Athletic season ticket holder.

Sophia Cartmell

UNDERWRITER

I am a Political Violence and Terrorism Underwriter, working on providing security, continuity and confidence so our clients can continue working and thriving in this ever-changing world. To do this, the team stays up-to-date with geopolitics and works together to find innovative solutions to our clients’ needs. I qualified as a ski Instructor in Canada, and love hitting the slopes as often as I can throughout winter.

UNDERWRITER

As Assistant Underwriter for the Political Violence & Terrorism team, I review and underwrite accounts submitted by our broking partners, and decide if they are within our underwriting appetite. If so, I price up terms. I am a long-suffering Peterborough Utd fan, and a very keen, albeit average golfer with an 11 handicap. My golfing career peaked with a round of 73 at Royal West Norfolk, where I three-putted the 18th. I’m still kicking myself.

I am an Assistant Underwriter in the Political Violence and Terrorism team. My role is to review accounts, and price them according to risk and appetite. I am a Politics graduate from Newcastle University, I spend most of my spare time planning my next travels.

As Head of Inigo’s claims department, I am responsible for all classes of business. Perry Bowen

HEAD OF FIRST PARTY & REINSURANCE CLAIMS

London, United Kingdom

e: [email protected]

I joined Inigo in November 2023 bringing more than 20 year’s experience in the Lloyds claims market. I have in recent years held senior claims roles at Ki/Brit, Pioneer and Arch with a strong focus on all 1st party classes. I am proud to work with underwriters who see the claims value proposition in order to retain and grow their wider business. I am also keen to promote the claims function of a syndicate as a great career choice to younger entrants to the London insurance market. In my spare time I like to watch most sports (Tottenham Hotspur when they win) and get on my Peloton for a workout at every opportunity.

James Bradley

FIRST PARTY CLAIMS ANALYST

London, United Kingdom

e: [email protected]

I made the switch from personal lines broking at A Plan Insurance, just after the pandemic to join Inigo as a First Party Claims Analyst in March 2022. I specialise in open market Property D&F, Political Violence and Terror, Onshore Energy and Mining claims. My aim is to learn from the claims experience and collaborate with Underwriters to provide informed decision making, based on the real world examples that support the underlying data. With a range of knowledge built up in a relatively short time in the Lloyd’s Insurance Market, I bring management experience in previous client facing roles to engage and rally the insurance market to provide the best possible outcome.

Because some things really shouldn’t remain unsaid.
